Dave Murray

Senior Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Emergency Medicine.

Dave is a well-respected and a true “dame” in the drama of Emergency Medicine. His full time role sees him as an ACP Academy Tutor, delivering 30 years emergency care experience applying he’s Master of Science level advanced practice to educate medical students.

Dave was one of the first cardiac nurse practitioners in the UK. He holds a highly regarded clinical lead role with a special interest in human factors and resuscitation.

He was awarded ENB199 (A&E) ENB124 (CCU) ENBN31 (management). Dave holds a national role within the collaborative network, leading on nurse-led projects integrated care, streaming processes, rapid assessment & advanced clinical practice. He is renowned for leading teams in resuscitation, providing expert practice, developing services with a keen interest in education, research, and audit.

Dave is an honorary lecturer at Wolverhampton University - having studied a PGCE.

He is MIMMS certified, develops strategic local plans, coordinates live testing and assumes a silver command role with acute trusts.

He is a BASICS Immediate Care Practitioner holding Dip IMC RCS (Ed) certified by Royal College of Surgeons (Ed). Dave is a full Independent prescriber. Responding for WMAS, and has PHEM experience which includes event medicine, equestrian, sporting events & mass gathering settings, including Divisional Nursing Officer role with St John Ambulance. Dave is a European Instructor and Examiner in APLS, EPLS, ILS, NLS, ALS, ATNC, GIC and ETC. He is an MBCHB Examiner with Birmingham University Medical School, and more recently he has been appointed as an Emergency Care Advisor to NHS England.

Zarqa Hussain

NMC Registered ICU Nurse

Zarqa has been a junior sister in Emergency Care and currently works as a staff nurse in a district general hospital Intensive Care unit. She has recently started reaching out to cover events since 2018 and enjoys this greatly fuelling her passion to continue to work for PACT.

Zarqa has a keen interest in resuscitation.

Molly Shrigley

NMC Registered Nurse

Molly is currently a Band 6 senior staff nurse within a busy Acute Hospital working on the same day medical assessment unit with a background working within an Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.

Molly alongside her nursing qualification is trained in Advanced Life Support accredited by the Resuscitation Council UK.

As well as her full time job, Molly also volunteers with a local Search and Rescue team where she can bring her medical knowledge to those in the field.

She has interests in Emergency and Acute Medicine.
