Ultrasound and PACT!

PACT are always looking at ways to improve patient care which is why we utilise the amazing Butterfly IQ+ Ultrasound.

This piece of equipment allows our clinicians to conduct Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) imaging anywhere and at any time simply by connecting the probe to any smartphone, tablet or laptop and providing real time ultrasound imaging. So far we have used it to identify and treat tendon injuries through to investigating for cardiac abnormalities.

Butterfly technology also allows us to securely save images and send onwards to the patient or specialities as part of a referral.

PACT introduces Freedom to Speak Up Guardian

We pride our self on ensuring that our staff have the support, guidance and information needed to feel comfortable in their role. Therefore we have introduced a speak up guardian.

“When things go wrong, we need to make sure that lessons are learnt and things are improved. If we think something might go wrong, it’s important that we all feel able to speak up so that potential harm is prevented. Even when things are good, but could be even better, we should feel able to say something and should expect that our suggestion is listened to and used as an opportunity for improvement. Speaking up is about all of these things.”

Ben is our speak up guardian and has completed training with the National Guardian Office to allow him the knowledge to fullfil the role!

Staff can approach him if they have any concerns, worries or positive feedback!

For more information take a look at the National Guardian website here:
