Safety Warning- Button Batteries!!

Although many healthcare professionals will sadly already be aware, button batteries can cause huge damage when ingested. ​

Often mistaken for sweets, children have been known to swallow these when picked up and either this is missed by parents or perhaps the seriousness of it not understood. ​

With the upcoming festive period the Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch have released a warning complete with videos demonstrating the issue. ​

​Please help spread the message to friends and family so we can increase awareness of this risk.
